International academic workshop for percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty with Prof. Elsadig Askar (NHI, Cairo, Egypt)

To support and help spread the techniques of percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty in Northern & Eastern African regions, SYM Medical collaborated with their Egypt partner to organize the first international workshop for Prof. Elsadig Askar who is a well-known consultant cardiologist in North Africa and Ireland regions, from 25th to 26th February 2021.

Prof. Elsadig was given a comprehensive lecture on the first day.

In addition to the lectures, doctors from NHI team performed total of 7 PBMV procedures on 26th February 2021.

Prof. Elsadig highly praised cardiologist team at NHI for their outstanding techniques and experiences of PBMV procedure. He had great impression for the procedure after this successful workshop with the help of doctors from NHI.
